FAQ

Medicare questions, answered

When can I enroll in Medicare?+

Your Initial Enrollment Period is 7 months long: it starts 3 months before the month you turn 65, includes your birthday month, and ends 3 months after. Current beneficiaries can change plans during the Annual Enrollment Period, October 15 through December 7.

What is the difference between Medigap and Medicare Advantage?+

Medicare Supplement (Medigap) works alongside Original Medicare and lets you see any doctor nationwide who accepts Medicare. Medicare Advantage (Part C) replaces Original Medicare with a private plan, often with a $0 premium, a provider network and extras like dental and vision.

Does it cost more to use an independent broker?+

No. Plan premiums are the same whether you enroll directly with a carrier or through us. Our guidance is free, and because we represent several carriers we can compare options side by side.

Do you only help people in Chicago?+

We serve seniors across Illinois, with dedicated local hubs in Cook, DuPage, Lake, Will and Kane counties.
