FAQ
Part D questions
Is the Medicare donut hole gone?+
Yes. Starting in 2025 the coverage gap was eliminated and a yearly cap on out-of-pocket Part D drug costs took effect. Once you reach the cap, you pay nothing more for covered drugs that year.
What is a formulary?+
A formulary is a plan's list of covered drugs, organized into tiers that set your cost. Formularies change every year, so a plan that fit last year may not fit now.
What happens if I don't sign up for Part D?+
If you go 63 days or more without creditable drug coverage after your Initial Enrollment Period, you may pay a permanent late enrollment penalty added to your Part D premium.
