FAQ
Medicare Supplement questions
What is the most popular Medicare Supplement plan in Illinois?+
Plan G is the most popular Medigap plan for new enrollees. After you pay the annual Part B deductible, it covers nearly all remaining Medicare-approved costs.
Is Plan N cheaper than Plan G?+
Plan N usually has a lower monthly premium than Plan G. In exchange you pay small copays of up to $20 for some office visits and up to $50 for ER visits that don't result in admission, plus possible Part B excess charges.
When should I buy a Medigap plan?+
The best time is your 6-month Medigap Open Enrollment Period, starting the month you're 65 and enrolled in Part B. During that window carriers can't deny you or charge more because of health conditions.
